Today´s special general meeting of the company Vychodoceska Energetika, a.s., which was convened by the company board of directors by request of the majority shareholder Power Company CEZ, a. s., dealt with measures leading to an implementation of the approved outcome of the "Project REAS".

Power Company CEZ has submitted to the Bulgarian Privatization Agency preliminary bids for all three packages of privatized power distributors.

The German-French group of companies Framatome ANP (a common enterprise of Siemens syndicate- 34%, and French state-owned holding Area-66%) was successful in a tender for a construction of a new nuclear unit in Finish Olkiluoto.

Power Company CEZ has chosen BNP Paribas and Merrill Lynch as joint chief managers of the forthcoming issue of eurobonds.

The second out of four units of the Orlik hydropower plant was successfully put into operation and handed over under the control centre regulation, on Saturday 7 February at 1.15 p.m.

Representatives of the CEZ power company management and 22 trade union units of CEZ have signed a collective agreement for 2004- 2006 today.

Ever since last week, Škoda Praha has had a new majority shareholder - the CEZ power company. This resulted from the decision of the Prague Municipal Court, passed on 14 January, which officially sanctioned the pertinent changes in the companies register that had already been approved by the company shareholders.

Total cost of damages incurred - 766 million CZK

On Friday, 19.12.2003, in the late afternoon, the Bulgarian Privatisation Agency confirmed in writing that CEZ power company had met all relevant criteria and thereby qualified for partaking in the privatisation of Bulgarian regional distribution companies.
