CEZ and E.ON have come to an agreement
Today, CEZ and E.ON concluded an agreement covering a set of transactions, aimed at a mutual exchange of the companies? minorities in Czech regional power utilities. In the scope of the agreement, CEZ undertakes to transfer its 35.21 % minority share in Jihomoravska energetika (South Moravian Power Company, abbreviated as JME) and a 34.01 % share in JihoÄŤeska energetika (South Bohemian Power Company, abbreviated as JCE) to E.ON. ¨

Preliminary results of the compulsory offer of equity in STE and ZCE
On 2nd June 2003, the CEZ company made a compulsory offer to the shareholders of Stredoceska energeticka, a. s., (Central Bohemian Power Company, abbreviated as STE), offering them 2,033 CZK per one share, and to the shareholders of Zapadoceska energetika, a. s., (West Bohemian Power Company, abbreviated as ZCE), offering them 6,179 CZK and 30 hellers per one share.

CEZ will issue its debenture bonds
CEZ, a. s. will issue its first batch of debenture bonds, worth three billion CZK, in the framework of the approved debenture programme. The issue is planned for 23 June 2003. The fixed interest rate was set at 3.35 % p.a. The bonds will be issued with a 100.05% rate of their nominal value. The issue is due in 2008.
